Description
The purpose of this dissertation is to analyse the factors affecting professional employee intention and turnover in the American international corporation (AIC), Kisii Town, Kenya. The research design is explanatory in nature, and both qualitative and quantitative data were collected via interview and questionnaire, respectively. Questionnaires were used to gather quantitative data from professional employees, while qualitative data were gathered via interview (with senior Administration and HR staff) and review of secondary sources. Out of the 75 questionnaire distributed 72 responses were received and then transferred to excel sheet and then proceed through SPSS 20 Statistical tool. Qualitative data gathered through interview and secondary sources were analyzed via the systematic analysis, while quantitative data gathered via questionnaire were analyzed via correlation and regression analyses. The major factors affecting the employee’s intention turnover in AIC organization fall into three groups, namely personal, pull and push factors. According to this study pull factor was the significant factor which influence employee's to leave the organisation. Employee intention is one of the major challenges faced by the AIC organization due to which the turnover rate of employee increases. The researcher also examined the turnover intention of professional employees with regard to gender, age and length of service. Based on the research findings, participants gave a mixed response for staying and leaving the organisation. However, from their response it is clear that, as part of the retention strategy, they want the AIC organization to improve salary, transparent and fair management system, work and life balance and offering family package like children's education as part of the benefit. This research can be considered by the employers, management and Human resource staff of AIC organisation to improve their internal working environment and take some experience from other similar organisation to reduce employee turnover.

Determination of the amount of citric acid in pineapple fruit obtained from local market.- science lab technology research project
Citrus fruits like lemon, limes, oranges, watermelon, pineapple and grapefruit have the highest concentration of citric acid giving which is produced from their juice, these fruits are sweet and tangy flavor. Citric acid is natural component of fruits. The main aim for study was the determination of the amount of citric acid in pineapple fruit obtained from local market. Also the percentage content in the fruit juice, titration method was used to carry out an experiment. Sodium hydroxide was acted as a base a undergoing neutralization process in presence of an acid to fulfill the project. During the process of titration the average volume of sodium hydroxide used, the number of moles of sodium hydroxide and citric acid, unknown concentration used, and standard solution were obtained. Also the percentage content of citric acid (fruit juice) was obtained.

ABSTRACT:
In this project, the passion fruit extracted was used to determine the concentration of citric acid in citrus fruit were obtained from Daraja Mbili Market-kisii County. The method employed was simple titration where 2M of sodium hydroxide solution of known concentration was titrated against unknown concentrated solution of citric acid extracted until the neutralization was complete between the two solutions and phenolphthalein indicator was used to detect the color change. And some of the the experimental errors were encountered. By determining the volume of standard solution and unknown concentration used in the titration process as well as the concentration of standard solution, the concentration of unknown was determined. SMEs play critical role in creating job opportunities and growth of the economy. Currently, the rate at which the new firms formed have stagnated and those with less than 5 years are closing down is very high. This has triggered research on the financial performance of the SMEs especially in areas with high levels of poverty since most studies concentrate on developed economies and urban centers. This study investigated the determinants of financial performance of processing SMEs in Kisumu County. The general objective of study was to determine the factors that affected financial performance of processing SMEs in Kisumu County. Impact of community Banks on rural development a case study of equity bank- business|banking research project
The establishment of community banks by the Kenya Government with particular reference to Equity Bank Kisii was necessitated by the desire of Government to improve the standard of living of the rural dwellers and to encourage rapid development of the communities.
It is in realization of these objectives that this study is being carried out to ascertain the impact of these community banks on rural development.
Also the study is designed to determine the performance the community bank and the commitment of the staffs to realize this set objectives. The inscriptional survey method was used for the study with some fractional number of the total members of Equity Bank Kisii. Both primary and secondary data were combined in collecting information used for this study.
A total number of 20 questionnaires were given our, though not all were returned and the information collected were very useful in achieving the objectives of this research.
