QUALITY ASSESSMENT KNEC FORMAT AND STRUCTURE

This assessment is designed in line with the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) structure to evaluate learners’ mastery of the competencies, values, knowledge, and skills outlined in the Junior School CBC curriculum. It features a balanced mix of multiple-choice questions, structured questions, and extended response items, assessing both theoretical understanding and practical application. The exam covers all strands and substrands taught during the term and is formatted to meet national standards for Junior School summative assessment. The paper ensures fair evaluation across the Bloom’s Taxonomy levels – remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating.
