Description
Continuing technological innovation and competition among existing banking organizations and new entrants have allowed for a much wider array of banking products and services to become accessible and delivered to retail and wholesale customers through an electronic distribution channel collectively referred to as e-banking. However, the rapid development of e-banking capabilities carries risks as well as benefits. The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision expects such risks to be recognised, addressed and managed by banking institutions in a prudent manner according to the fundamental characteristics and challenges of e-banking services. These characteristics include the unprecedented speed of change related to technological and customer service innovation, the ubiquitous and global nature of open electronic networks, the integration of ebanking applications with legacy computer systems and the increasing dependence of banks on third parties that provide the necessary information technology. While not creating inherently new risks, the Committee noted that these characteristics increased and modified some of the traditional risks associated with banking activities, in particular strategic,
operational, legal and reputational risks, thereby influencing the overall risk profile of
banking.

publics. In the analysis of the definition (i) it is” the planned and sustained effort” ,meaning that PR activity is organized as a campaign or program and is a continuous activity, it is not haphazard. (ii) Its purpose is “to establish and maintain mutual understanding” – that is, to ensure that the organization is understood by others. This mutual understanding is thus between an organization and its publics, since many groups of people are involved.

A trust has been defined as the relationship which arises whenever a person, called the trustee, is
compelled in equity to hold property, whether real or personal, and whether by legal or equitable
title, for the benefit of some persons, of whom he may be one and who are termed beneficiaries
or ``cestui que trust``, or for some object permitted by law, in such a way that the real benefit of
the property accrues, not to the trustee, but to the beneficiaries or other objects of the trust.

In this lecture you will learn what law is and how it relates to society. Human societies can be distinguished from animal groups by reference to social rules. Marriage is a good example of the way in which social rules govern our lives. Not only is the monogamous marriage supported by the predominant religion in our history but it is also maintained through moral rules and by the operation of rules of law which define and control the formalities of marriage ceremony, lay down who can and who cannot legally marry, specify the circumstances whereby divorce may be obtained, define the rights to matrimonial property upon marital breakdown.
