Description
Nanoscience is the emerging science of objects that
are intermediate in size between the largest molecules and
the smallest structures that can be fabricated by current
photolithography; that is, the science of objects with smallest dimensions ranging from a few nanometers to less than
100 nanometers.[1–3] In chemistry, this range of sizes has historically been associated with colloids, micelles, polymer
molecules, phase-separated regions in block copolymers,
and similar structures—typically, very large molecules, or
aggregates of many molecules. More recently, structures
such as buckytubes, silicon nanorods, and compound semi conductor quantum dots have emerged as particularly interesting classes of nanostructures. In physics and electrical engineering, nanoscience is most often associated with quantum behavior, and the behavior of electrons and photons in
nanoscale structures. Biology and biochemistry also have a
deep interest in nanostructures as components of the cell;
many of the most interesting structures in biology—from
DNA and viruses to subcellular organelles and gap junctions—can be considered as nanostructures.

AGE 100: INTRODUCTION TO STATISTICS, MAP ANALYSIS AND CARTOGRAPHY
Trending!
This is an introductory Section to statistics, which provides the definition and types of
statistics. It also gives the purpose of statistical analyses, especially the meaning of
statistical significance in geography. It demonstrates that even proper use of statistics
does not guarantee useful results. Other important aspects introduced in this Section are a number of new terms, concepts and symbols that are used quite often in statistics.

BJS 4231 – FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY
Forensic is derived from the Latin forensics, meaning appertaining to the forum, specifically the empirical court of Rome where matters in dispute were settled. Court and dispute are the key
words. The first binds the term forensic to a legal setting, the second anchors it firmly to matters which are being disputed in court (facts in issue). Forensic Psychology
Forensic psychology is a branch of applied psychology which is concerned with the collection, examination and presentation of evidence for judicial purposes. (Gudjonsson and Haward,
1998). The key words in this definition are evidence and judicial

BJS 4127 :TRANSITIONAL JUSTICE

Transitional justice is a response to systematic or widespread violations of human rights. It seeks recognition for victims and promotion of possibilities for peace, reconciliation and
democracy. Transitional justice is not a special form of justice but justice adapted to societies transforming themselves after a period of pervasive human rights abuse. In some cases, these transformations happen suddenly; in others, they may take place over many decades.
