Description
The course is intended to familiarize students with the various pollutants and their interaction within the
environment. A detailed review of the chemical concepts of environmental chemistry will be tackled and advanced applications such as ozone depletion, treatment of pollutants and green chemistry. A detailed account of the chemical processes of the atmosphere, lithosphere and hydrosphere and effects of pollutants on these processes and the biosphere will be reviewed.
