Effect of teenage pregnancy on school performance on secondary school girls in nyacheki ward in nyamache sub county Trending!
Teenage pregnancy is a world disaster, and it has become a major concern to both developing and developed countries all over the world. Teenage pregnancy cases are very high in Kenya, and it seems to be increasing every day in our schools. It is a concern to all people in Kenya not leaving out politicians who have shown interest over it y coming out through media condemning the act of early pregnancy amongst our teenagers. Childbearing and early pregnancy is common in Kenya. Approximately 25 percent of Kenyan women give birth under the age of 18 years where ate this age children are still in schools and majorly secondary schools. The re-entry act of pregnant girls in the school system is also continuing to get criticized by society. Society discriminated pregnant girls in school and the young mothers who are back in school, for they say that they influence others in the act and promote teenage pregnancy in schools. This adolescent pregnancy continues everyday in schools because, after every school break, not less than three girls come back to school pregnant, so the question goes, who is responsible for these pregnancies? Are parents not watching over their children or schools should introduce another law that restricts girls in school? Therefore, this study is designed to investigate the impact of teenage pregnancy in the Nyacheki ward in Kisii County. A total sample of 50 respondents was used for the study. Questionnaire; observation and interview were used to collect data for the research. Looking at the effects often age pregnancy, it is clear that the girls face stigmatization, ridicule, and neglect from parents and teachers' abuse. The study also reveals that teenage pregnancy has a great effect on education and affects the girls' future and the economic development of a country. It also revealed that adolescent pregnancy also contributes to girls' poor performance in school and final exams. The study also showed that most underage mothers terminate their education for fear of shame, stigmatization, and ridicule from the school and society and being rated as ill-mannered children. The study also discover that the environment and media had a significant impact on early pregnancy among girl students in high schools. The study therefore suggests that teenage mothers should be given another chance in life. We should not judge them because others got it through rape and assault. They should be counselled by their guidance and counseling teacher to give them strength and hope of continuing with education and getting bright future. Counseling will also help in their job skills and psychosocial development that will help them after their schooling and life ahead.

FACTORS AFFECTING SACCOS FINANCIAL CAPACITY TO MEET MEMBER’S EXPECTATIONS IN NYAMIRA COUNTY
The Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies (SACCOS) are financial co-operatives that aim at meeting the financial needs of all members men/women, old/young, rich/poor in particular, by encouraging savings and granting loans to the members. It belongs to its members who manage it democratically. They play important role in socio-economic development of members and communities in general as SACCOS enable easy access to financial services to people, encourage savings, create employment opportunities, support directly community development effort like helping community access to social services, stimulate growth of business, and improve members’ income as well as living conditions. If SACCOs are managed properly, it becomes possible to play such social and economic roles to the members and have spiral effects to the community development process. As a result, they will be able to achieve the social and economic expectations of members. However for some SACCOS as they proceed with their operations, they face various obstacles which prevent them from fulfilling the visions/expectations that people (members) and community at large. Therefore the aim of this paper was to analyse the internal and external factors that hinder SACCOS to achieve the expectations of their members. The descriptive design was used and the data used were mostly secondary being collected from various already documented reports, papers, researches and journals, and in some circumstances, primary data were used. The approach used in describing the findings was mostly qualitative. The paper revealed that the factors preventing SACCOS to meet members’ expectations are both internal and external. Internal factors are like; financial constraints, poor loan recovery, governance problems, lack of common interests, high interest rates on loans by some SACCOS, weak leadership and institutional capacity, uninformed membership, inadequate education and training, limited range of financial products and poor quality services, poor accounting and record keeping, misuse of funds and non adherence to co-operative principles. The internal factors identified include; competition, negative impacts of external financing, weak assistance form SACCOS supporting institutions, insufficient auditing and inspection, political interference and excessive donor dependency. It was recommended that to overcome these challenges and meet members’ expectations, there is a need to; promote SACCOS good governance practices, provide education and training, diversifying sources, increasing capacity and number of co-operative banks, ensure proper financial management and better accounting practices, keeping records properly and networking of the SACCOS.

Design of a charcoal biomas machine project report
There has been a recent push to replace the burning of fossil fuels with biomass. The replacement of this non renewable resources with biological waste would lower the overall pollution of the world. The waste biomass like dry leaves, sawdust, rice husk, coffee husk etc. are gathered and compressed into briquettes, these briquettes can also be transported and used as fuel to generate heat. It is high time to take initiative to turn Biomass into a source of energy. Hence here we take responsibility in converting agricultural and forestry waste into useful biomass briquettes, which can also be used as a substitute for Coal. There is different machine available in market but those machine are bulky and are costly, hence here we developed a portable, low cost biomass machine, which makes use of simple mechanism to convert the biological waste into useful briquette. Any waste or any proportion can be used but with proper binding agent. Some raw material does not require any binding agent if we use high pressure compression. The paper presents the results of a project focused on the development of briquettes from the waste wood (sawdust) resulting from the main waste from timber companies. This waste wood currently lacks a useful purpose, and its indiscriminate burning generates CO and CO2 emissions. Sawmill waste is a big problem especially in urban cities. These wastes are burnt openly which is causing environmental pollution. The wastes can be converted to wealth thereby providing jobs for many unemployed citizens. The principles of machine design were employed to design the essential parts such as hopper, sliding member, cylinder and grinding unit.
